3 SUPPORTING PROFESSIONALS IDENTIFY PEOPLE IN NEED |
Schools, churches, businesses and individuals donate non-perishable, in-date food to a foodbank. Large collections often take place as part of food issuing process and also collected at other areas such as schools, churches, nonprofit centers and supermarkets. |
Foodbank partners with a wide range of care professionals such as doctors, clinics, social workers and police officers to identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher / certificate. |

4 INDIVIDUAL / FAMILY FOOD |
Staff and Volunteers sort the food and to check the date of the food and than pack it into boxes ready to be given to people in need. |
Foodbank receivers would bring their Voucher / Certificate to an approved supported foodbank center where it can be redeemed for three days’ emergency food. Volunteers meet the individual (and family if present) over a warm drink or free hot meal and are able to signpost people to agencies in order to assist in solving the longer-term issues or problems |
